I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving break!

One more month left in this year and I have to say I just want to duck and cover. So much has happened and a lot of it bad. Seems like I’m not the only one though – there are officially “fuck 2016” buttons out there – so it seems the world got that much grimmer for a lot of people this year. I have to still take a moment to say that in the midst of all of this I am still incredibly grateful for everything that’s happened this year.  (more…)

Technology keeps outstripping itself! I believe the digital drawing pad of my dreams has just been made known to me. Behold – the Slate! And SO affordable! Now the only thing left is for it to be paper-size adjustable so I can draw on poster paper. Can’t wait to sell a couple more books and buy this so I can go back to PAPER and PEN like I did with the Picture Book! Though I have gotten used to the convenience of Photoshop and being able to adjust size etc. We shall see if this would some-how add to my work flow. At least at this price tag it is infinitely more affordable than the Surface Studio! So even if it doesn’t end up working so well, at least I didn’t break the bank. But if it ends up working super well then I’ll have been freed from drawing on a computer!!

Finally, Finally, Finally! My books are real and here! Well the first 50 – which we will have to send out to try to get some media attention. The good news: my store is now officially open!! woohoo!! (more…)
